Currently pursuing a Masters in Education, Jackie is dedicated to furthering their knowledge in the field. Additionally, Jackie holds a qualification in "Coaching and Mentoring" from Waikato University and has completed papers in counselling skills.
During their personal journey, Jackie discovered a new path and developed a passion for becoming a celebrant. To date, Jackie has officiated marriages for over 200 couples, bringing joy to their special day.
In 2013, Jackie underwent restorative surgery, an experience that profoundly impacted their outlook on life. Realizing the extent to which their tired-looking eyes, neck, and face affected them, Jackie knew that undergoing surgery was something they had always planned to do. Following the surgery, Jackie felt a remarkable transformation, akin to winning the lottery.
While everyone holds opinions about surgery, Jackie learned that the key is to prioritize personal satisfaction rather than pleasing others. Delighted with the results, Jackie joined Travel Smart as a consultant and tour guide, eager to share their stories, work with clients seeking restorative surgery, and assist those going through transitional phases in life.
With an impressive 40-year career in the travel industry, Jackie has operated "Bums, Tums and Gums" and served as a broker for Travelsmart NZ and Travel Managers Group. Their role involves booking flights and accommodations, and previously, escorting clients to Thailand. It's important to note that the focus of Jackie's work hasn't completely shifted away from Thailand. Her efforts in Mexico are meeting the demands of may New Zealanders.
Jackie's expertise lies in meticulously planning Group Surgery Tours, ensuring that each member's specific needs in terms of travel and surgery are catered to. Jackie maintains strong partnerships with hospitals and surgeons in Mexico, guaranteeing a smooth experience for clients.
Drawing from personal experience, Jackie assures clients of VIP treatment with respected surgeons and hospitals, a distinction not offered by all agencies. While in Mexico, clients can rely on Jackie's team for support with various aspects such as bargaining, currency conversion, dining options, and communication back home. Their extensive experience is readily available to ensure a comfortable and worry-free stay for clients.
